Acupuncture

Megan is from Aberdeen, SD and has spent the last 12 years in Minnesota. She did her undergraduate at St. Cloud State University. Then proceeded to her graduate program at Northwestern Health Sciences University and completed numerous internships providing her with over 3,000 hours of practice. Megan graduated in 2015 with her masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is board certified through NCCAOM. From there she was hired at New Ulm Medical Center where she worked for 6 years in both the hospital and the clinic.  Megan ran the outpatient clinic seeing a variety of issues including, chronic pain, acute pain, neuropathy, headaches, women’s health, digestive health, mental health and more. Megan also spent a couple of days a week working in the hospital where she saw pre- and post-surgical patients, oncology patients, laboring and new mothers, mental health and substance abuse patients. Through her years of experience, she has gained much knowledge on a variety of issues and some of the best ways to treat them in conjunction with other medical providers. Working in the hospital and clinic and being able to collaborate with other medical professionals has grown passion in integrative medicine.  Her interest in traditional chinese medicine came from personal experience which started when she was 15 years old. She had acupuncture for menstrual irregularities and found success in regulation. She continued to use acupuncture throughout the years to manage chronic pains and then to help conceive.  Megan is married with 2 children and 2 dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends outside hiking, canoeing, and gardening. Megan recently returned to Aberdeen to be closer to her family.
